Mumford & Sons gather speed

Mumford & Songs, “I Will Wait”

Babel

With a sharp talent for splicing pop hooks with sharp licks of banjo and mandolin, English band Mumford & Sons rode the crest of the neo-folk wave in 2010.

New single, “I Will Wait”, is in the same vein as previous smash “Little Lion Man”- a hyperactive stomp stunner that throws horn blasts over clips of banjo and tightly strummed guitar. Harmonies create a pillowy verse before gathering speed and collapsing into the huge chorus.
