Where Are We Now
The first scrap of music to be heard from the Thin White Duke in nearly 10 years, “Where Are We Now” was posted out-of-the-blue on Bowie’s website last night.
The lead single from his forthcoming LP, The Next Day, “Where Are We Now” shimmers with Eighties-style synths and Bowie’s fragile warble. Recounting his days spent in Berlin, it’s a melancholy walk through Bowie’s memories, until the drums start to race, and then everything starts to gleam.
The Next Day is due out in March.
