Told You So
The video for “Told You So” may feature Bubble-O Bill, Hubba-Bubba bubble gum and other 90s throwbacks, but the sound from the Brisbane indie band is rooted firmly in the indie landscape, circa 2012.
The title track from their debut EP (out October 12) cloaks a pleasant hook with streams of keyboards and Tim Nelson’s feather-light vocals. The nicest surprise, however, comes when you realise that Cub Scouts are not going to disappear off into the indie-ether, but instead keep everything at ground level.
